Money Tree bonsai

This one is not usually used in the as a serious bonsai material but I have this nice looking Money tree with a great bonsai potential. It's got a great stump and I cut it down quite a bit as I wanted the height to be lesser.
Here's the pic- new shoots are growing in two of the trunks- other two were cut later so I am guessing in a couple months they will all come out. I should cut the last trunk as well, just not comfortable starting at a trunk without leaves. To me a leaves tell how the plant is doing. No leaves, and I'm not sure how to read it any more. Yep, it's going to be a challenge when fall comes and the maple loses all the leaves.. yikes!

Watering- I water it very less, but lately have started giving it little more. This is because earlier I was using a mix of sand and regular potting soil and now I am using bonsai soil. The bonsai soil seems to have better circulation internally.
