I have always wanted to make a bonsai of a Redwood. There is so much beauty and calmness in them that it has always made want to take them home with me. So this summer on our drive back from the Redwood park, I picked this one year old plant from one of the gift shops. I now have more than one-
Here are the redwood projects I've been working on-
- Coastal sequioa - started with a 1 yr old tree
- Giant sequioa - started with a 3 year old tree
Both need a considerable growing and training- the giant is a bit closer to a tree form, has a nice trunk but the branches are still too short.
The coastal is growing very well, I have mounted it over a rock. but it has a long ways to go.
