Japanese Boxwood tree

I used a well developed boxwood as a starter which I liked because of the thickness of its trunk.
One day I just went crazy with the scissors on it and gave it a pretty good pruning- I read somewhere that these are pretty hardy and I so really went to town pruning it. Only thing is there was some fungus on the leaves that weren't getting much sun and I thought that the pruning will take care of that- remove the bad leaves and give it better circulation too.

Gosh, I wish I had taken before pictures. Will post the pictures tomorrow- I will have to wait for the next growth but I would like to prune the roots more and then use a smaller container. I think I like what I see now though. Little bit of fert every week and I'll see what becomes of it.

Picture of my new bonsai project as of July 18th:

I hope this works, I did a major pruning of the tree and now I'm nervous. It still has the fungus growing on it and I am spraying it with fungicide, which I hope will work

Send me tips for the fighting the fungus if you have any..

Not doing too well- still got fungus although its come down a bit, but I put it out in the sun and now its going orange. Worried about this one...

Well the fungus is resolved- more or less, but the plant is now dormant. I basically took it to the tap and washed the entire plant down- also used some soap. Also gave the roots a little soak with Superthrive. Now I put it back in a larger pot and will let it grow for a while. Possibly till next spring.

On retrospect it wasn't in a great shape when I got it which complicated things a little bit.
It is fine now though- it's not growing any more but not dying is a good sign :D Will wait for a while before I add fert. Also will go easy on the water.

I am watering it once a week now and it seems better meaning that it's still alive :-) Patience.....

Alright!!! looked at it a little closer while watering this evening and what do I see? Tender little leaves coming out of fresh buds! Yippee! I guess the new soil, superthrive and less watering made some difference here.. phew!!  Pics coming soon.
